Bronco Tow rig transmission problems F250
Not directly bronco 4x4, but with out the big truck the Bronco doesn't get to the trails.
Does anyone have a shop they trust to look at the 4R100 that is in my 99 F250. I went to pick up my Broncos in AZ and had a few issues with the Trans so I had to turn back.
Thanks

Not locally but your best bet is a BTS trans. (Brians truck shop). Im not to sure of any local places to trust. I wouldn't go to ATS.

If you can afford it, BTS is the best hands down. Call Rocky at Rockin S at least and see what you can do within your budget: http://www.rspdiesel.com/Tell him a couple old Colorado-PSD cronies sent ya!

Re: Bronco Tow rig transmission problems F250
Thanks guys, I had my truck out with Rocky, good guy but he didn't have a solution. He isn't a transmission guy so he was going to call BTS to see what they thought. Thought I would see if anyone had a Transmission shop they trusted.

http://www.coloradodieseltruckclub.com Sign up here and see what they say. I would avoid ATS myself. In fact, here's a thread already started that may help you: http://www.coloradodieseltruckclub.com/ ... .php?t=682Their Recommendation to call Elite Diesel is also a good one.

x2 on avoiding ATS. You sound like a level headed, mature individual who actually uses your truck to tow; not smoke people out on the highway and act like a jackass. ATS isn't the shop for you.
And as far as the BTS warranty goes, I've heard that there are a few BTS 4R100s hooked up to 500+ HP drag diesels that have gone through multiple motors without a single broken transmission part. Bottom line: BTS builds THE best 4R100 out there. It will outlast your truck and your motor.

Re: Bronco Tow rig transmission problems F250
Thanks for the diesel site, I will join but that post was pretty dead on.
If my truck is moving it has a trailer behind it or a camper (followed by a trailer) on it so it gets used. I guess ATS would not be a good choice.

Re: Bronco Tow rig transmission problems F250
Took it to Elite today. They seem like good people. They did a data log on the spot.
I appreciate the help.
