 Who has a thread on installing the aod/4r70wWho has the thread that describes the parts needed to put the 4r70w in the 66? I will remove the bell housing, NP 435, and adapter from the 351w all of which are out of the frame.
The body is off the frame and now is the time to make the change if i'm going to. |

Re: Who has a thread on installing the aod/4r70w I don’t think there is a thread just for the install, but plenty of folks have done it. Look at Rox’s or Viper’s build threads and see if they included the install in the posts.

Will need to make new frame brackets for the cross member and modify the factory cross member. You'll need to pull the valve body out and change the shift lever. Also I'd recommend a minimum 1" body lift. _________________ Rob 74 Ranger EFI351w, 4r70w, ARB 5.13 9in, ARB 5.13D44, and a bunch of other goodies.
