95 F150 A/C not working
I’ve checked fuses and they are good. Blower works but it blows hot air. Anyone know what steps to take to check for why the A/C doesn’t work?

Re: 95 F150 A/C not working
My guess is the compressor isn't turning. Could be clutch problem or no current to activate it. No current could be due to low pressure in the system. There is a pressure switch that will allow the compressor to run only if there is good pressure in the system. That switch could be bad or you may have a small leak.

hey Mike like they are saying you need to verify that you have a proper charge in the system a start working out from there.

Re: 95 F150 A/C not working
I've disconnected the lo pressure harness the turn the engine and a/c on and using a jumper wire (briefly) jumper the harness just to see if the compressor starts more than likely you have low Freon if the compressor starts. Good Luck Vipers way is probably more sensible (but then I would have to put my down to use a multimeter)

Re: 95 F150 A/C not working
Tried to jump the switch and I can’t tell if the compressor is kicking on. Air definitely wasn’t getting colder. My multi-meter is dead and I don’t have a battery for it so couldn’t check voltage to the switch.

Re: 95 F150 A/C not working
You can see whether it is turning or not. The inside of the pulley does not rotate when A/C is not cycling.
Center of pulley should cycle on and off with A/C on.
I would guess you have a leak and have lost enough freon that the low pressure switch will not let the comp engage.
